Unfortunately, betrayal is going to happen in every relationship. No matter how many rules you come up with, you can’t come up with a perfect set of rules that will work for every situation that will come up. Life is unpredictable, including our own reactions to what happens to us in life.

Fortunatley, there is wisdom to be gained by going through it. The couple can get stronger if they work through it together.
